- The edit that Peter Ho suggested (delete the ";" from the mdmrock.inf)
- does work! Granted, I had to reinstall Windows 95. This is how I did
- it. Of course, for some, it may be more practical to just insert the
- "atm3" into the modem properties/ Advanced...
-
- 1) Install Win95 WITHOUT installing the modem.
-
- 2) Use a plain text editor, and open the file "mdmrock.inf" in the
- \windows\inf\ directory.
-
- 3) Do a Search for the string ";"
-
- 4) Delete the semicolon inside the quotes, so it looks like this "".
-
- 5) Save the file.
-
- 6) This step is probably not necessary- Do the same for the file
- "mdmrock2.inf".
-
- 7) Goto Control Panel and open up the "Modems" icon.
-
- 8) Choose add, and click "I will choose the modem"
-
- 9) Install the Cardinal Drivers
-
- 10) Close everything and Restart Win95
-
- That's it!
